When the Warrener isn't working as it should

A file isn't listed#

• It's new. Files created or changed in the last hour are left alone, under Left alone. Lower Leave new files alone for if you'd rather file sooner.
• It's inside a folder. Only the top level of each folder is listed.
• You hid it with Not this one. Press Show them again.
• It's in another folder. Add it to Folders to tidy.
• It hasn't looked yet. It looks every hour. Press Run now.

It suggests the wrong folder#

Change the destination before you tick it. To help it choose better next time, describe your folders under What belongs where (Advanced): the AI reads those lines when it chooses. If no folder fits, add one to Destinations, with a line of what belongs in it.

The suggested name is poor#

Type your own before you file it. A PDF whose first page is a cover can get a vague name, since only page 1 is read. A password-protected PDF isn't read at all.

A document has no suggestion#

The card says why:

• "waiting for a name suggestion": at most 15 documents are named a round. The rest come next round.
• "busy: name suggestion deferred": the local AI was busy. The next round asks again.
• The local AI isn't set up: see Set up the local AI.
• It's a kind it doesn't read (.doc, .xls, .pptx): it's offered Documents\Other with its own name.

Filing a file was refused#

The page says why: the file changed since it was listed (the next round lists it afresh), or its destination isn't on the list. Press Run now, and try again.

Put back was refused#

Something now has its old name, or the file's size changed after it was filed. Move it back by hand in Explorer if you need to.

Filing a OneDrive file took a while#

A OneDrive file that's only online is downloaded by Windows when it's moved out of OneDrive.

Its page won't open#

Its page is http://warrener.localhost:18989/. Open on its card in Castellan starts it if it's down, and Castellan checks every two minutes that it answers, and opens it again if it has stopped.
