  • The Steward's kit 2.45.0: Each agent Castellan sells checks the trial's end itself, from the license Manor holds.

Before you update

  • Nothing: it updates itself as usual. Manor's own copy of the keys and the license check (its license-keys.ts and license.ts) can move to this kit's license.ts in a later Manor change.

Installing

  • Castellan installs and updates it by itself. To install it by hand, unpack the zip anywhere and run node src\cli.ts install (Node 22.18 or later). SHA256SUMS.txt lists its SHA-256 (PowerShell: Get-FileHash).

The Toller joins the developers' household: what came through the gate.

What's new

  • Every hour it looks at your projects' lockfiles and says what came in since the last look: new packages that run an install script, and names one letter away from a popular package.
  • What came into your tools: new editor extensions (VS Code, Cursor and others) with their publisher, global npm, pip, cargo and dotnet tools, folders added to PATH, git hooks, and git settings that changed.
  • Dev servers open to your network: listening on every address instead of only this PC, with the project they came from.
  • Secrets left in the open: API keys, tokens and private keys in your projects, shell histories and Downloads, and whether each was pushed, committed or only on this PC. It never shows or keeps a secret's value.
  • Two fixes you can tick: add a file to .gitignore, or take a secret out of a shell history. It never rotates or deletes anything itself.
  • Its work shows when Developer options is on.

  • Nothing: its first round takes stock quietly, and it reports what changes from then on.
