The Clerk has two hires. On an everyday PC the Clerk takes the office, on a gamer's PC the Scribe does, and the other keeps working behind it. Both are in Household.

What's new

  • Finds the screenshots Xbox Game Bar, Steam, NVIDIA and AMD save, and any folder you add, and shows them by game, newest first.
  • Reads the words in each one on this PC, so a search finds an item's name, a score or a line of chat, as well as a game or a month.
  • Opens a screenshot full size, with the words read in it, and shows it in its folder.
  • It never moves, changes or deletes a screenshot.

Before you update

  • Nothing: it finds your screenshots as soon as you hire it.

Installing

  • Castellan installs and updates it by itself. To install it by hand, unpack the zip anywhere and run node src\cli.ts install (Node 22.18 or later). SHA256SUMS.txt lists its SHA-256 (PowerShell: Get-FileHash).
