News from the projects your code is built on.

Follows the releases and issues of the packages your own projects depend on, suggested from the repositories on your PC.

Heralds carried news and messages between lords' courts.

The Herald has two hires. With Workshop, Developer Herald takes the office and Herald keeps working behind it.

What's new

Every release

0.8.0

It suggests what to follow from your own projects, and reads GitHub without gh too.

What's new

  • Suggested feeds: Reeve finds the projects on this PC, and the Developer Herald reads what each depends on (package.json, Cargo.toml, go.mod, requirements.txt). The GitHub repositories those packages come from are suggested on its page, the ones most of your projects use first. Follow adds one's releases to your feeds in a click; Not this one hides it; Look again reads your projects now.
  • GitHub without gh: with the GitHub CLI installed and signed in, GitHub is read through it, as before (5,000 requests an hour). Without it, through GitHub's public API (60 an hour), with the same ETags, so unchanged answers cost nothing. The page's first card says which, and how to get more: install the GitHub CLI, then sign in to GitHub with it.

What changed

  • Its card in Manor and its page speak of the projects you build on, not one particular PC's toolchain.

Before you update

  • Nothing: it updates itself as usual. Your feeds, keywords, issues and searches stay as they are; suggestions appear beside them, and none is followed until you press Follow.
  • Suggestions need Reeve installed.
